MAHARETA’, their most emblematic album and the one that catapulted “SIEMPRE ASÍ” to a massive audience, has just turned 30. A new anniversary to celebrate on the tour of these universal Sevillians who have been on stage for 33 uninterrupted years, something that defines their musical transcendence in several generations and places them among the Spanish artists with the longest and most important careers.
This new tour has been christened ‘SIEMPRE MAHARETA’, in homage to this iconic album (triple platinum record) which contains most of the group’s most successful songs: ‘Mis versos’, “Mira Corazón” “Siempre Así”, “ Para volver a volver”, “Se me va”, “En un rincón del alma” or the archiconocida version of “A mi manera” that has gone around the world in the rhythm of the elegant rumba and the unmistakable stamp of these seven Andalusians who continue to triumph wherever they go. In recent months they have packed out the most important festivals in our country, from Icónica in the Plaza de España in Seville, to Las Nits in Barcelona at the Palacio de Pedralbes, Starlite Marbella, Es Jardí in Palma de Mallorca, Cabaret Festival, etc etc….
A real luxury to have them back in Fibes next February 14th on the occasion of Valentine’s Day, to enjoy again their songs that have marked the lives of so many couples in love and that with so much love have accompanied us throughout our lives.
More than 30 years, 16 albums on the market and an undeniable success: around a million copies sold throughout his career and more than one thousand five hundred concerts between Spain and Latin America.
But the greatest success is to see how their repertoire is part of the soundtrack of millions of people, how this rumba with a message, joyful and southern, preserving their flamenco roots, has become essential in any meeting or festive event, how they have crowded and conquered audiences of all tastes and generations in the most important theatres and auditoriums (Teatro Real, Teatro de la Maestranza, Palau de la Música Catalana, Palau de la Música de Valencia, Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas, Bogotá, Medellín or Quito, Starlite etc, etc….. ).
Among their many hits are the song that bears the name of the group ‘Siempre así’, ‘Si los hombres han llegado hasta la luna’, ‘Alguien’, ‘Esa mujer’, ‘Para volver a volver’, ‘Se me va’, ‘Te estoy queriendo tanto’, ‘Tú serás mi amanecer’ or the flamenco version they did of the well-known ‘My way’ (‘A mi manera’).
In July 2022 they travelled to Rome, together with more than 400 followers from different parts of Spain and Latin America, to celebrate in style their 30th anniversary in music, with an extraordinary concert with the ‘RomAEnsemble Orchestra’ in the Church of San Ignazio de Loyola, and the following day with their ‘Mass of Joy’ in thanksgiving before the altar of Bernini’s Chair in St. Peter’s Basilica at the Vatican, with the presence of the Spanish Ambassador to the Holy See and the subsequent congratulations of Pope Francis.
They are the recipients of numerous awards, nominations and recognitions, including the Medal of Andalusia, which they received on 28 February 2023, and the Medal of the City of Seville, which was awarded to them on 30 May 2024.
