The show “The Procession” is an artistic reinterpretation of the purest and most universal elements of Holy Week. In collaboration with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Seville, the Mirko Vullo Dance School, and a selection of the best trumpet players from Andalusia, the audience will step into a universe where the senses are evoked by the memory of a Holy Week that we all carry inside.

For many, Palm Sunday could mark the beginning of the calendar.

Without exaggeration or clichés, The Procession aims to elevate those small things that go unnoticed behind a religious float; those details that a seasoned viewer will recognize and that will surprise newcomers to Holy Week through the evocative power of this tradition.

The Procession was created by the renowned composer and orchestra conductor Francisco Javier Torres Simón, who has composed a soundtrack that will guide us throughout the show. Additionally, the audience will enjoy symphonic versions of his own marches such as Al Que Yo Besé or Lux Aeterna, as well as popular marches like Esperanza Macarena or Jesús de las Penas.

The grand moments of the show are enhanced with a selection of the best trumpet players from Andalusia, performing well-known pieces such as Ave María and original works for the show. This is undoubtedly the major artistic contribution of the performance, as, for the first time, the trumpet is included as a full member of the symphonic ensemble.

Come and enjoy a show that will undoubtedly captivate and overwhelm you.

The Procession is the emotion of Holy Week made into dance, with the finest symphonic religious music, finished with the imposing sound of the Andalusian trumpet.
