The new financial reality will be the subject of analysis and debate at the II Digital Coin & European Financial System Sevilla Summit. The meeting, which will be held at Fibes on 9 and 10 June, is expected to be broadcast globally, thanks to its online broadcast.
Along these two days, the event will bring together administrations, banks, insurers, startups, fintech, investment funds, governments and legislators, universities, business schools, technology companies, cybersecurity, big data, payment methods and consultancy firms. All of this through speeches, presentations and round tables that can be followed from all over the world via streaming.
The initiative will promote debate and analysis on innovation, technology, regulation, security and digitalisation, following Fibes’ strategy as a think tank to rethink the future. Such innovation will be essential in this new monetary era and will also provide insight into Spain’s potential in a new economic and financial era.
One in three Spanish investors have cryptoassets in their portfolios, three times more than a year ago, according to the 3rd eToro and EFPA Spain Digitalisation Barometer (in Spanish, III Barómetro de la Digitalización en España de eToro y EFPA España). Furthermore, 75% of Spanish financial advisors would introduce cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin or ethereum in their clients’ portfolios if they were regulated by supervisors.
In a scenario in which large companies, executives and successful entrepreneurs are betting on cryptocurrencies as an investment formula. Technology giants such as Facebook are launching their own digital currencies and wallets. While banks and public bodies implement regulatory mechanisms, we are witnessing a true economic revolution brought about by technology: digital currencies and cryptocurrencies. A global milestone that is here to stay and has also taken hold among young people.
At the moment, the security of digital finance together with privacy are fundamental aspects in the expansion of crypto-assets. Thanks to blockchain technology, this new financial model is today a reality.
The aim of the II Digital Coin & European Financial System Sevilla Virtual Summit is to raise awareness of the impact that new finances have on geopolitics and the future of society.
To this end, the speakers will address the fundamental issues that mark the future of European and Spanish monetary policy, as well as cryptocurrency and digital currency. They will share their vision of the future and shed light on new perspectives and opportunities. In addition, we will learn how financial institutions, startups and large companies are adapting to the accelerated pace of change.
On 9 and 10 June, Fibes will become the headquarters of an innovative sector that has undergone a historic transformation and which has advanced at great speed in recent months.
The first edition of the online Digital Coin & European Financial System Sevilla Virtual Summit was attended by more than 50 speakers. During the two-day event, there were 3,300 views from all over the world, highlighting the global nature of the event.
This year, it is hoped to increase participation by including European leaders and international experts in the conference. Therefore, the city of Seville and Fibes will once again be a forum for analysis and debate of this new “ecosystem” linked to new finance and cryptocurrencies, and their ability to boost the economy of our country.
